Reunite with Classmates

Class Reunions

A class reunion is a great way to stay in touch with classmates. Mercer strives to organize and sponsor class reunions for each class every 10 years, and additionally on their 25th year. These reunions typically take place in conjunction with annual major event weekends such as Homecoming, Law Day and Tift Alumnae Weekend. Mercer attempts to, but cannot always, locate and contact every alum from every class. Nevertheless, class reunions are open to all alumni during the years of their reunions. To inquire about your class reunion, contact the Office of Alumni Services at To update your contact information so that we can remind you when your reunion is coming up, use this contact form.

Mercer Mingles

Some alumni enjoy reconnecting with their classmates outside of their official Mercer-sponsored class reunions. So, from time to time, Mercer hosts smaller, regional gatherings that we call Mercer Mingles. These gatherings are typically casual, fellowship-centered occasions sometimes held in a local restaurant/bar or even a home. Mercer Mingles have proven to be especially popular when planned in conjunction with Bears sporting events. Some Mercer Mingles are initiated by the Alumni Services office. Others are initiated by individuals who simply have a desire to gather fellow alumni in their area. (You might be surprised at the number of fellow Mercerians living in your area!) If you would like host a Mercer Mingle in your area, please let us know! We may be able to assist with the following efforts, determined on a case by case basis:

  • Providing mailing lists of alumni in your area
  • Preparing an e-mail blast or postcard invitation
  • Providing venue suggestions or reservations
  • Making catering suggestions and assisting with venue set up/preparation
  • Promoting your event via the Mercer website and social media outlets
  • Keeping RSVP lists
  • Collecting registration fees
  • Sending a Mercer staff person to attend and help you host (schedule and travel budget permitting)

Before you decide to host a Mercer Mingle, please keep in mind that, in order to provide as many connection opportunities as possible for our over 74,000 alumni around the world, we strive to design each Mercer Mingle so that it pays for itself. This is accomplished through any combination of: attendee registration fees (for meals or tickets), gifts (gratis use of facilities, catering, etc.) or sponsorships (which you, as the host, are encouraged to help solicit).
